Pizza Party
We had the pizza party for cleaning up at the Family Symposium. It was cool. We met at Tony’s Pizza. It was weird. There were deacons of all ages there. It was funny watching the older deacons eat. I am the youngest deacon on the staff. I have been hoping that I can be ordained as a full deacon, but it hasn’t happened yet. Deacon Roughton says that it is because I am in college and he is not sure how long I am going to be in the city. He makes a good point.Deacon Roughton ordered 12 giant pizzas and we ate up. It was cool hanging out with the men of the church. The oldest deacon, Deacon Novak, told stories about when the church first got started. He said that back in the day, pastor used to have a crazy haircut. It was too crazy.
I ate 6 slices of pizza. The next youngest deacon, Deacon Lenny Colfax, ate 8 slices. He was acting like we were in a contest.
